Graphic Design compliments Illustration
The artistic process means much more than putting a pen to paper or a brush to canvas. The principles behind layout design, typography and the use of color can come together to create a visual narrative as powerful and directed as a drawing.
This page showcases case studies that examine these principles.
Borough of Manhattan Community College
Borough of Manhattan Community College featured a fast-paced graphic design space. From promotional to informational material, it was a great learning experience, so to speak. Along with creating print and social media advertising, many solutions also tackled administration and student experience. Projects like the Course Roadmap provide easy-to-follow education paths, the Application Brochure allows for easy registration as well as listing relevant statistics, and the Giving Tuesday spot fits into the overall design language excellently.
Glamour Dolls
The beauty of graphic design is the level of versatility. Working at a cosmetics startup, Glamour Dolls, was an exciting experience. Greating a design language for a makeup brand allowed for a vivid mix of delicate fonts and playful colors. The press kits further speak to the language of the brand, adjusting it to communicate to forward facing promotional outlets.
