Well quite frankly, very much. A lot of things happened between Central PA Convention and now. One of the most important things I learned from the convention was broadening my portfolio and not just relying on my originals to make my money back. As much as I want to dream that every patron at a comic convention wants to buy all of my original illustrations, that's just not the case. So for the past few weeks I've been widening my spectrum to include some fan art. The only thing I'm afraid of is falling into that hole where all of my work is just pictures of everyone else's favorite characters, because at the end of the day selling only fan art is disheartening. Why is it disheartening? Simple. I'm not making money off of my own ideas. I'm making money off of someone else's ideas.
